FOOOOD

Monday turned into my 'fail' day. We had a work offsite, which didn't provide a lunch break... However, we went bowling for the 2nd half of the day where we were given beer and pizza... 1) who sober bowls? 2) Who turns down free booze.... Later that night a few of us went out again to continue the festivities.

Now it's Tuesday night, and I've followed the rules. Juice, and small portion for dinner. When i got home from work i instantly reheated some of the left over Jambalaya, as my body was pissed at me... And it still is. hopefully the body learns what a real portion is quickly. The next few days will be tough. Now to decide which day will be my juice only day. I'm thinking a day where i don't work.

Real Time

I'm now caught up to today - posts will now be "realtime"

Week 1

Week 1: This week will be a testing week to see what combos I like,  what I don't, and to prepare myself for an increase in fruits and veggies.

This week my big revelations were...

Celery: A little goes a long way. As bland as it can taste as a stick... it has a very powerful flavor as a liquid.
Green Pepper: Very long aftertaste. 1/3 of a bell is more than enough flavor in a mix.

I have a very limited palate for vegetables... week 2 will include some 'exotic' additions to the mix. Exotic is defined as: Sweet Potatoes, Ginger, Kale, Beets.

Week 1 results: -5 lbs.

Plan for week 2:

Joining the ranks of Soda this week, is Fast Food. This is where my cheats originated from in week 1.

This week's goal is to replace Breakfast and 1 Meal with Juice. This leaves me with a normal meal, likely dinner, to have. This will push me as lunch time has been the time where i reach out to a fast food meal. But, with an hour lunch, I get a good 20 minutes at home, which is plenty of time to throw together a 'meal.' That's the extent of my plan. Each night before bed, I'll make by breakfast, so it's ready in the morning, as I'm an extreme morning procrastinator.

I had some pop

A about a week and a half without soda, and I had one... The taste:

Thick and syrupy... I drank about half and tossed the rest.

Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead

Just watched a documentary, "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead," and thought... "I could do that."  So, I bought a Juicer, and we'll see how it goes.

Good Bye Soda...

Dear Soda,

I love you. You quench my thirst, make my liquor tolerable, and provide my hydration... but why do you scorn me so?  Really though, you're not to blame. It's your partner in crime, caffeine.  This evil dictator has been making my eyelid twitch randomly for several months. So, you've gotta go. With you, and caffeine, gone will be the Gatorade, the teas, coffee... all you yummy pick me ups. Here's to hoping I don't kill anyone this week.
